Marty’s diner was a small metal 10 stool diner manufactured by the Valentine diner company out of Wichita, Kansas. These prefab little diners were loaded on to the back of a flatbed truck and delivered to the customer nearly ready to go. All the pots, pans, dishes, glasses, coffee cups, and silver were packed inside. All that was needed was to have
the diner attached to the concrete foundation, and the gas, plumbing, and electricity hooked up. Considering these diners were small, they were also well designed and seemed rather roomy. To me the whole ready to go package was rather amazing. My first job was in such a place This particular one had a reverse floor plan from the one I worked at. Otherwise it was identical.
